What inspired you to become a financial professional?
My first real career began in banking when I was just 18 years old. I remember opening my first 401(k) because my parents told me I should. I did what I was told, but I didn’t really understand what I was doing. I had no specific goal, no understanding of investing, and no idea how powerful that decision could become. Then, three years later, I got engaged. I looked at my 401(k) and realized that the money I had been consistently putting away had accumulated enough to help us put a down payment on our first home. I remember thinking, “This is magical. How come no one ever taught me this?” That moment changed me. For the first time, I understood the potential benefits of long-term saving and investing. I realized that building a financial future wasn’t simply about working a 9-to-5 job, earning a paycheck, and hoping you would have enough someday. There was a bigger picture. Your money could create choices. It could create opportunities. It could protect your family. And, when managed intentionally, it could become the foundation of something that lasts beyond you. I was intrigued. I was curious. And I wanted everyone I knew to understand what I had just discovered. That curiosity became a career. Over the next 25+ years in financial services, I had the privilege of sitting across the table from individuals, business owners, and families and seeing firsthand that wealth management is about so much more than investments. It’s about people. It’s about the family counting on you. The business you’ve spent decades building. The children you want to give opportunities to. The retirement you’ve worked your entire life toward. The unexpected things life can bring. And ultimately, it’s about making sure the things you’ve worked so hard for are protected and positioned to serve a greater purpose. My career as a Wealth Management Advisor was inspired by a very simple realization I had as a young woman: I wish someone had educated me sooner. I didn’t want other people to have to figure it out by accident. I wanted to help people understand their money, make confident decisions, and see possibilities they may not have known existed. That became my purpose. Today, as a Wealth Management Advisor, I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to understand the power they have to build, protect, and grow their wealth—and to intentionally create a legacy for the people and causes that matter most to them. Because wealth isn’t just about what you accumulate. It’s about what your wealth makes possible.
